I have a N series control with a linear 4-20mA input. It no longer displays the values properly. How do I check the related parameters that scale the input?

You can check whether the control is set up for 4-20mA, 0-10V or some other input range in the CONFIG Mode.

The input range and type are dependent  on the range code entered in the configuration mode.

Check the following parameters in the SETUP mode:

rPnt:  Decimal position
rhi:  Range upper limit
rLo: Range Lower limit

These parameters control the values that will be displayed on the display.

For example if the control is setup for 4-20mA input and rPnt is 1, rhi is 100.0 and rLo is 0.0 then when the input is 4 mA the display will be 0.0 and when the input is 20 mA the display will be 100.0.  The scaling can be changed to anything that you want and is usually set to match the range of your input device.  These parameters are not available if the input is configured for thermocouple or RTD input.

(note: The actual parameters available in the setup mode is dependent on the range and other settings in the configuration mode)
