How do I set up the logger for 0-24mA, 4-20mA or other current range using external shunt resistors?

Using DaqPRO with milliamp signals.

The DaqPRO comes with one extra set of plug-in terminal blocks. These extra blocks incorporate a 200 ohm resistor across the terminals. These blocks should be used when measuring mA signals.

To set up the logger:

1) Connect the logger with USB cable to your computer, power up logger and start DaqLAB program.

2) Calibrate Sensor:

a) In DaqLAB click on Logger, Calibrate Sensors menus.
b) Enter your password (1234) is the default.
c) Choose 0-24mA in the drop down box and click on OK.
d) Select the Calibration Tab.
e) Enter values as follows:

f) Click OK

The logger is now setup to display current directly in milliamps.
