Do I need to use terminal blocks that are made of the same alloys as the thermocouples?

The introduction of an additional alloy such as a terminal or terminal block will not introduce an error as long as the two conductors are at the same temperature. Any errors caused by the additional alloys will cancel out if they are at the same temperature. Since the terminals on terminal blocks are normally very close together the chance of any significant temperature difference between these connections is very slight. Standard terminal strips can be used in these situations without risk of introducing any significant errors.
